Partial Hospitalization Program/Intensive Outpatient
College Hospital’s Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP’s) and Intensive outpatient are offered in both English and Spanish, and are designed for adults with a variety of mental health needs.
The programs provide a caring and supportive outpatient environment where participants and their families receive help with issues such as:
- Risk for harm to self or others
- Alcohol and Drug Addiction
- Vocational Impairment
Each PHP is staffed with an interdisciplinary team that considers the multi-dimensional needs of each participant from different therapeutic perspectives. The team utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches which address the disorder while providing an alternative to inpatient care. This allows the participant to maintain a more normal daily routine.
The professional team headed by a psychiatrist coordinates the treatment of multi-cultural and multi-generational participants by utilizing an individual treatment plan designed to meet the unique needs of each participant.
Program services are offered Monday through Saturday. Attendance is based on individual needs. Transportation to and from the program is provided. Hot meals are also served daily.
Referrals to the program may come through family members, mental health professionals, physicians and care givers.
Program components may include:
- Full Psychiatric Assessment
- Frequent & individual sessions with the psychiatrist
- Full Medical History and Physical
- Nursing Assessment
